Concerns are being raised over the number of dementia sufferers who live on their own in the Wakefield District.
A new study has found the number of people living with the condition in isolation is expected to double over the next 20 years.
The Wakefield branch of the Alzheimer's Society say their service "Side by side" can help get them out of the house.
As part of Dementia awareness week, the charity is urging people to have patience towards those with the condition. Around 4500 people suffer with it in the District.
