Reports of disability hate crime in West Yorkshire have more than doubled.
West Yorkshire's seen the biggest increase in reports of disability hate crime in the country.
New figures show, despite the 53 per cent rise, there has only been one extra person prosecuted, compared to last year.
John Cooper, from disability charity United Response, said: "We would like to see more being done by the police and by authorities to tackle this drastic fall in prosecutions. If crimes don't get punished then crimes will continue to rise."
