Coronavirus: Yorkshire Sculpture Park's Plea to stay away

Yorkshire Sculpture park is reminding people across the Wakefield district that it has not reopened, following the Government's announcement earlier this week.

It is because the site is a registered museum, not a public park.

Staff say they are busy planning a phased reopening for when the time is right - until then, staff and visitor health and safety is their priority.

In the meantime, they are asking people to respect their decision to keep the park closed.
