Coronavirus: mental health support 'still available' in Wakefield District, during pandemic

Anyone in the Wakefield District who might be struggling with things like stress, depression and anxiety is being urged to ask for help if they need it.

A Wakefield mental health charity says it is finding new methods to support people through the pandemic.

Turning Point Talking Therapies has stopped face to face sessions, but is seeing some positives come out of the new way of working.

It is urging people to ask for help, should they need it.

Meanwhile, around 20 million radio listeners have heard from a host of celebrities, sports stars and royalty, as part of the 'mental health minute'.

The special broadcast, just before 11am, was broadcast on stations across the UK, to mark the beginning on mental health awareness week.
