Featherstone Rovers

The latest news from the LD Nutrition Stadium.

Rovers have announced the appointment of Ryan Carr as the club’s new head coach replacing John Duffy who's contract was terminated last month. Carr has agreed a two-year deal with the club, meaning the former Wests Tigers and South Sydney Rabbitohs player will hold the position at the LD Nutrition Stadium until at least the end of the 2020 season. The Australian was at the helm of New South Wales Cup side Mounties during 2018 and has also held coaching roles in both the Cronulla Sharks and South Sydney Rabbitohs academy set-ups. (3 Dec)

Rovers have parted company with head coach John Duffy after he failed to turn up to the first day of pre-season training. In a statement, the club say they have taken legal advice surrounding Duffy’s conduct and have terminated his contract, as a result of his actions of gross misconduct. Duffy has been engaged in discussions with Leigh Centurions to take over as head coach. (20 Nov)
