West Yorkshire's Police Commissioner calls for an end to police budget cuts

West Yorkshire's Police and Crime Commissioner is warning further cuts to policing will have damaging consequences.

Mark Burns-Williamson has written to MPs across the county - highlighting serious funding threats ahead of the Provisional Police Funding Settlement.

He told us staff are already stretched and under pressure.

Since 2010 - West Yorkshire Police has received budget cuts of over £140million - at a cost of over 2 thousand officers and staff.
