140 children across Wakefield will be homeless on Christmas Day

Over 140 children in the Wakefield will wake up on Christmas morning without a permanent home - according to Shelter.

Research found a 166 percent increase in the number of homeless under 18's in the District over the last five years.

Poppy Terry from the charity says many families are hidden away in hostels or BnBs - which are unsuitable for youngsters.
