Album of the Week

Lissie: Castles (Cooking Vinyl)

Lissie (Elisabeth Corrin Maurus) was born and raised in Rock Island, Illinois.

She was interested in singing and music from an early age and played the title role of Annie at the age of nine.

In early 2008, Lenny Kravitz invited her to be the opening act for his Love Revolution Tour, after a friend tipped him off about her MySpace page. Her debut album Catching A Tiger came out in 2010.

Her cover of Fleetwood Mac's Go Your Own Way found prominence in early 2012, when it was used in an advert for Twinings tea. It was followed by the albums Back To Forever in 2013 and My Wild West in 2016.

Hear tracks from Ridings FM's Album of the Week every day at 12.30pm.
