The Health Pod is one of a number of initiatives aimed at improving access to primary care under the Prime Minister’s Challenge Fund
The Pod is a portable structure from which West Wakefield Health & Wellbeing Ltd.’s healthcare professionals, as well as representatives from our partner organisations agencies (including the Yorkshire Ambulance Service, Wakefield District Housing and the Citizens’ Advice Bureau), can bring a range of services, information, advice and support to the public.
By making these services more readily available to people within their local communities, we can help people access the support they need to live healthier and happier lives, and also raise awareness for other services available in the Wakefield area.
