Established in 1969, Pontefract Civic Society is a registered charity promoting and supporting the well-being of Pontefract in all its aspects.
They share the belief that the places in which we live and work can be greatly improved by the commitment and determination of its citizens.
By promoting civic pride and facilitating community engagement, the society hope to improve public spaces, celebrate the town's rich historic past and promote Pontefract as a place to live, visit and work.
